The best vanilla cake recipe i know so far...

VaNiLlA cAkE
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
100 grams (1/2 cup) butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
Method:
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • In a another small bowl mix milk, sour cream, and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl beat butter and white and brown sugar until fluffy for 2-3 min if using an electric mixer.
  • Next add egg one at a time until well incorporated.
  • Than add the dry ingredients to the butter sugar mixture a little at a time alternating with the milk mixture.
  • Pour the batter into cupcake cases and bake for 12-15 min or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • frost with your desired frosting and enjoy.....


Pancakes

Sorry dont have a photo for this, they got eaten up so quickly that i didnt get a chance to take a photo.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon caster sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter

Method:

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
  • Pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  • Heat a lightly buttered frying pan over medium high heat.
  • Pour approximately 1/4 cup of the batter onto the frying pan for each pancake.
  • Cook until golden brown on each side.
  • Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, honey and Nutella :)
